Mission

The CIDS is a joint Academic Center of the Graduate Institute of International Development Studies and the University of Geneva.

Its Mission is to explore, understand, and inform about International Dispute Settlement; to independently study its developments, dynamics, and norms; and to educate future actors.

Governance

The CIDS Council is the overarching body supervising both the CIDS and the MIDS. Half of its members are appointed by the University of Geneva, the other half by the Graduate Institute. The Council sets the strategy and oversees all matters regarding the functioning of the Center.
