Much concern is currently expressed about the "proliferation of international courts and tribunals" and the "fragmentation of international law". This course purports to examine, in a macro-analytical and dynamic prespective, the fairly recent quantum move of the international judicial function from a state of dearth, approaching inexistence, to one of relative abundance, and the specific characteristics and problems attaching to each of these two states, as well as their impact on the structure and functioning of the international legal system in general. |
