Intensive Course: Philosophical Aspects of Dispute Settlement: An Introduction

Dr Thomas Schultz, Senior Lecturer (Maître d'enseignement et de recherche) at Geneva University Law School.

For those interested in looking beyond positive law, this course seeks to bring together different branches and topics of current legal theory, and apply them to developments in the field of dispute resolution. The students will move from studying purely philosophical authors (e.g. Aristotle) to traditional legal theorists (e.g. Fuller, Hart, Kelsen, Kramer) to arbitration specialists with a strong philosophical interest (e.g. Gaillard and the French tradition of arbitration).
