The groundwork of the curriculum consists of two general courses, which provide a comprehensive overview of international dispute settlement. Each of these general courses run throughout the 14 weeks of one semester at four hours per week.

The first general course, held during the first semester, sets the stage and explains the institutional organization of the different mechanisms for resolving international disputes.

The general course of the second semester provides a presentation of the international legal proceedings as they develop on a multidimensional international stage.
