The final result of Cassius' working experiences with NGOs was to get a broad practical background to pursue his studies with specific interests in matters concerning development and law. Subsequently, he decided to broaden his knowledge base by studying concepts of development. After his admission to a special examination organized by the ministry of justice of Benin in 2000, he also worked for one full year as paralegal.
In 2001, Cassius was admitted to the Graduate Institute of Development Studies (former IUED) at Geneva in Switzerland. He obtained a diploma (DEA) in development studies in 2004 (Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies en Etudes du Développement). During his studies he acquired skills and knowledge in a broad set of development questions.
In addition to this new training, Cassius decided to turn his attention again to legal studies in order to complement his educational framework. He was admitted to the Geneva Law Faculty, seeking to become a lawyer in International Private Law. In this particular field, he is specializing in International Arbitration, particularly African arbitration law. The topic of his research is the comparison between OHADA arbitration law and other international arbitration law.
