Dr. Dielya Y. Wane holds a doctorate in Law from the University of Geneva after she recently presented a dissertation thesis addressing topics related to the global food trade regulation, with an emphasis on the Codex Alimentarius as the Key Player in the Emergence of a new international food order. During the course of her doctorate studies Ms Wane had been an intern within the Secretary of the Codex Alimentarius Commission and the Food Safety Department of the World Health Organization where she had been a consultant entrusted the task to gather and monitor data related to the development countries progresses in terms of food safety systems enhancement.

Prior to these internships Ms Wane had been a legal assistant during the drafting of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC).

While Ms Wane was primarily committed in private law studies, she had been in her early university education steadily focusing on public international law after she discovered the vivacity of the public international law, discipline which is subject to rapid changes, the tremendous topics it addresses and the contribution of the dispute settlement bodies to this evolution.
