Brian McGarry

Lecturer (Maître-assistant)

Brian McGarry lectures in the law and practice of inter-State adjudication and arbitration. His experience includes counselling governments, intergovernmental organisations, tribunals, and parties in matters relating to the law of the sea, international environmental laws, and international trade and investment. Mr McGarry is a frequent contributor to international law capacity-building programmes and conducts research on a range of international dispute settlement topics. He is expected to earn a PhD from the University of Geneva for his submitted thesis on third-party intervention before the International Court of Justice. Mr McGarry is admitted to the bar in New York and is a dual national of Ireland and the United States.
